Modelling career[edit]

Pinder first appeared topless in Nuts in 2007, and, also in 2007, the Australian magazine Ralph declared that she had the “Best Breasts in the World.”[2]

Pinder has appeared on FHM’s list of the “100 Sexiest Women in the World” 2007 (#92), 2006 (#35), and 2005 (#16),[1] and, in 2010, she was head of the Bennetts Babe Squad.[5]

Pinder was responsible for a weekly advice column in Nuts, entitled “The Truth About Women”.[6]

On 15 January 2008, Pinder made her presenter debut for Nuts TV. She presented the Nuts TV live show on six further occasions in February and March 2008 and also presented Overexposed, which was a series on Nuts TV giving hints and tips to the aspiring, amateur glamour photographer.[11] Subsequently, she has appeared on the MTV channel’s TMF,[11] presenting, in conjunction with Kayleigh Pearson, Pinder and Pearson’s Late-Night Love-in – a “countdown of saucy music videos.”

In February 2008, Pinder made a cameo appearance, along with Michelle Marsh, in Hotel Babylon[2] on BBC1.[11]

In February 2010, Lucy Pinder appeared on BBC Three‘s The Real Hustle Undercover,[2] where she pulled a switch on an unsuspecting punter.[11]

Celebrity Big Brother[edit]

From 2 January 2009, Pinder appeared in the sixth series of Celebrity Big Brother.[1] She revealed that “thick” people irritate her. She was the first housemate to be voted out,[1][2] on 9 January (Day 8) with 57% of the public vote.[14] Pinder declared her wish to leave the Big Brother house after being driven to distraction by the constant rapping of housemate Coolio.[15]

Heike Makatsch (born 13 August 1971) is a German actress and singer. She is known for her roles as Dr. Lisa Addison in Resident Evil (2002), Mia in Love Actually (2003), and as Liesel’s mother in The Book Thief (2013).

Early life[edit]

Makatsch was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, the daughter of former German national ice hockey team goaltender Rainer Makatsch. She spent several months in New Mexico in 1988 in an effort to improve her English, and later studied politics and sociology at the University of Düsseldorf for four semesters, which was followed by an apprenticeship as a dressmaker until 1994.

Career[edit]

Makatsch at the 2012 Hessen Film and Cinema Prize

Her television career started in 1993, when she was hired by music channel VIVA, hosting shows such as Interaktiv and Heikes Hausbesuche; two years later, on 13 August 1995, she became the host of the German chart show Bravo TV, aired by RTL II, a position she kept until summer 1996. In 1997, she started hosting her own weekly, late night show titled Heike Makatsch Show. However, due to bad ratings, it was cancelled after only eight episodes.[citation needed]

Makatsch first appeared in a movie in 1996, when she starred in Detlev Buck‘s Männerpension (English: “Jailbirds”); she received the Bavarian Film Award as most talented young actor for her performance. Since then, she has appeared in several German and English language productions including the romantic comedy Love Actually. She is perhaps best known for her role as Lisa Addison, Matt’s sister in the Capcom video game-based sci-fi/horror film Resident Evil (2002).[citation needed]

Makatsch served on the jury of the Goldene Kamera awards in 2017.[1]

Since 2012, Makatsch has been a testimonial for French cosmetics company L’Oréal.

Personal life[edit]

Makatsch was in a seven-year relationship with British actor Daniel Craig, ending in 2004.[2][3]

She has three daughters, born in 2007, 2009 and 2015, two with Max Martin Schröder from German indie band Tomte.[4]
