Kristina Krepela (born 4 September 1979) is a Croatian actress, the best known for playing in movies La Femme Musketeer and The Hunting Party and in telenovela Ne daj se, Nina, the Croatian version of Ugly Betty.

Career[edit]

Krepela trained on the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb.

Her first role was in the short-movie Leptir (Butterfly), in 2003. Her next role was not so small. She played the Spanish Infanta Maria Theresa in Hallmark Channel television movie La Femme Musketeer, along with Gérard Depardieu, Michael York, Nastassja Kinski, John Rhys-Davies and Susie Amy.

She returned to Zagreb, taking role of Ivana in Croatian telenovela Ljubav u zaledju (Love in the Offside). In 2007, she had a little appearance in the movie The Hunting Party, along with Richard Gere.

Since October 2007, Krepela has played Barbara in Ne daj se, Nina (Don’t Give Up, Nina), Croatian version of Ugly Betty and unknown woman in Game of Thrones .

Veerle Baetens (born 24 January 1978) is a Belgian actress and singer probably best known for her role as Elise/Alabama in The Broken Circle Breakdown. She has also starred in numerous Flemish movies.[1][2]

Early life[edit]

Baetens was born in Brasschaat, Belgium. She had a musical education at the Hoger Instituut voor Dramatische Kunsten in Brussels.

Career[edit]

In 2005, she won the “John Kraaijkamp Musical Award”, in the category of ‘Leading Actress in a musical’, for the title role in the Dutch musical adaptation of Pippi Longstocking.[3][4]

In 2008, she won the Flemish TV-star Award (Flemish equivalent of the Emmy Award) for Best Actress and Most Popular TV Personality, both for the title role in Sara.[5]

In 2012, she released an album with her band “Dallas”, called Take it all.

In 2013, she won the “best actress” category at the European Film Awards for her role in The Broken Circle Breakdown.[6]

In 2013 she portrayed Queen Margaret of Anjou in Starz miniseries The White Queen, based on the novel of the same name by Philippa Gregory. [7]

Mónica Estarreado (born 29 June 1975, in Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish actress. She is best known for her role as Cayetana de la Vega on the popular Spanish comedy-drama Yo soy Bea and for her current role as Dr. Valeria Peralta on Hospital Central,[1] as well as for her work as Fatima Mansour in La Reina del Sur, the latter of which made her known in the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Chile and other countries.

Personal life[edit]

On 28 September 2007, she married Luis Arribas, an assistant director on Yo soy Bea. In February 2011, it was announced they are expecting their first child.[2] In July, she gave birth to a baby boy.

Ruth Núñez (born 7 April 1979) is a Spanish actress. She is perhaps the best known for her television roles of Bosnian girl Tanja Mitjović in Compañeros (1998–01)[1] and Beatriz “Bea” Pérez Pinzón in Yo soy Bea (2006–08), Spanish version of Ugly Betty.[1]
