A. Jedediah Louisa Bila (born January 29, 1979) is an American television and radio host, columnist, and author. She was a co-host on ABC’s The View from August 2016 to September 2017. She is a former Fox News contributor and was a regular panelist on shows such as Red Eye and Outnumbered.[4]


Bila was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.[5] On Twitter, Bila has said she is of Italian heritage.[6] She graduated valedictorian from Wagner College with a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in Business Administration. She earned a Master of Arts from Columbia University in Spanish literature.[7]

She is a former high-school academic dean and adviser and spent several years teaching in New York City. She has taught middle school, high school, and college students.[8]

Television career[edit]

In January 2013, Bila was hired on Fox News as a contributor.[9] In April 2014, she became a panelist on the talk show Outnumbered.[10] In August 2016, she announced her departure from Fox News to join ABC‘s The View as a permanent co-host for the show’s 20th season.[11] Bila departed The View on September 18, 2017.[12][13]

Personal life[edit]

On June 12, 2017, Bila announced her engagement to boyfriend Jeremy Scher.[14]

Political views[edit]

Bila has stated that she is not a Democrat or a Republican,[15] and that she has a “strong libertarian streak”.[16] She has described herself as a conservative libertarian, and stated that she is a registered independent.[3]
