Besides talking to San Diego regarding Craig Kimbrel, The Yankees have set their sights on Carter Capps of Miami. The Yankees are tiring of waiting for a decision by The Padres. Capps in 29.2 innings, has a 1.21 E.R.A. for The Marlins. The Yankees have also engaged with The Reds concerning Aroldis Chapman.
Oufielder Gerardo Parra, barring physicals will be dealt to The Orioles for pitcher Zach Davies. Parra 28, will be a free agent at the end of the 2015 season. So, with the Orioles record for signing free agents, Parra becomes a rental. Parra, with The Brewers, is hitting .328 with 9 HRs and 31 RBIs. He has stolen 9 bases. Davies, at Norfolk, The Orioles AAA team, is 5-6 with a 2.84 E.R.A.
As reported by Lesley Goldberg:
“Destination America will revisit the story and house that inspired The Exorcist on the 66th anniversary of the original ritual. The live event will take place at the “Exorcist House” in the suburbs of St. Louis where the ritual was performed on Roland Doe in 1949. The cabler says, “no one has ever attempted to rid the lurking spirits and demons that inhabit this home — until now.”
Leake had a 3.56 E.R.A.with 90 strikeouts in 136 2/3 innings for The Reds this season. His lifetime E.R.A. is 3.87 lifetime. Leake is a free agent at this season’s end. He is 27 years old. The Blue Jays and The Yankees showed interest in Leake. Genius Cashman was too busy to get Leake, since he was pursuing Justin Ackley.
The wonderful and extremely intelligent Sheldon Richardson was arrested for driving 143 MPH, resisting arrest, violating the NFL’S Substance Abuse Policy, having a minor in the car, failing to obey traffic signals, and I believe, a weapon in the car,
“I’m very disappointed in myself…I brought it on myself, me missing the four games,” Richardson said, according to the Daily News. “Just a little disappointed and embarrassed for my parents’ sake.”
The Yankees are paying Sabathia (maybe that’s the problem,) so they don’t owe him. Give one of the kids a chance. Sabathia is killing The Yankees. His mistakes become homeruns. Too many men left in scoring position. An awful throw by Stephen Drew, who does not hit enough to make up for errors. His awful throw to second, cost the Yankees a 6-5 lead. Dustin Ackley, will not be the solution. So The Yankees split in Texas with a 7-6 loss. The Yankees are excited that Ackley can play first. Does this mean The end for Garrett Jones?
worried about, was good enough for The Houston Astros. Gomez, along with pitcher Mike Fiers went to The Astros. The Brewers, who would have added pitcher Zach Wheeler and infielder Wilmer Flores from the Mets, are to receive four minor leaguers from the Astros – outfielders Brett Phillips and Domingo Santana, left-hander Josh Hader and right-hander Adrian Houser.
